EB-05 Heroines Edition vol.2: Nico Robin leader and SP cards

Two weeks before launch, the product page for EXTRA BOOSTER -ONE PIECE HEROINES EDITION vol.2- [EB-05] has been updated with the first real look at its cards. Bandai is now showing the set's new leader, three heroines drawn in very different styles, six SP cards and a guest parallel by Kentaro Yabuki. The release date, set size and trailer were covered in our earlier EB-05 article; this one focuses on what is new.

EXTRA BOOSTER -ONE PIECE HEROINES EDITION vol.2- EB-05 key visual

Like the first Heroines Edition, this second Extra Booster puts the women of the ONE PIECE world in the spotlight, with plenty of brand-new cards aimed at both players and collectors.

A new leader: Nico Robin

The headline card is EB05-010 Nico Robin, a Green/Yellow leader with 5000 power and 4 life who leads decks of Characters with the Wisdom attribute. Going by the card shown on the page:

Once per turn, when one of your Wisdom Characters that does not have Blocker is K.O.'d, you can place the top card of your deck on top of your Life cards.
Activate: Main, once per turn, she sets one of your Wisdom Characters with 6000 power or less as active.

The page shows both the standard art and the parallel version.

Heroines in contrasting art styles

Bandai highlights three Rare Characters whose illustrations each take a different approach, from a loose, cartoonish sketch to painterly and pastel-heavy art:

EB05-004 Baby 5 (Red, cost 4, 6000 power): when played, you may reveal two Events from your hand to draw two cards; when she is K.O.'d, you can play a Character with 6000 power or less from your hand, rested.
EB05-028 Boa Hancock (Blue, cost 4, 5000 power): when played, if your opponent is holding nine or more cards, they must trash four of them.
EB05-043 Perona (Black, cost 4, 5000 power): when she is K.O.'d, she K.O.s or rests one of your opponent's Characters with a cost of 6 or less.

Six SP cards

EB-05 also carries six SP cards with a special frame that prints the character's name in large letters behind the artwork. Two are new EB-05 cards and four give older cards the SP treatment:

Card	Origin
EB05-006 Miss Buckingham Stussy	New in EB-05
OP14-033 Perona	OP-14
ST17-004 Boa Hancock	ST-17
EB05-031 Vinsmoke Reiju	New in EB-05
OP17-081 Gerd	OP-17
OP17-109 Charlotte Pudding	OP-17

A Kentaro Yabuki parallel: Nami

The collector's pick of the set is EB05-055 Nami, which gets a parallel version newly illustrated by Kentaro Yabuki, the manga artist behind To Love-Ru. The page shows the standard card and the parallel side by side. Nami is a Yellow, cost-5 Character with 6000 power and the Wisdom attribute: when she is played during your turn and your leader has the Wisdom attribute, the top card of your deck goes on top of your Life. That makes her a natural fit for the new Nico Robin leader.
